The Pirates are sitting in first place in the NL Central. Ha, ha. I hope they're soaking in the sun while they can - it's so obviously all about the Brewers in that division. I'm thinking it'll go: Brewers, Astros, Reds, Cardinals, Cubs, Pirates. And then we'll see the epic Brewers-Tigers World Series. Ooh, baby. Maybe Brewers-Rangers, if A-Rod can break out of that .055 batting average and buy me a few cases of the Sweet Spot.

So, anyway, I was thinking I might start a Crusade earlier, because there wasn't much on TV and I have some new-ish shoes. But Father was out entertaining some clients, and he took the limo, and I was waiting for my heroine bill from last month to be delivered by ChiTown and Big Eddie, so I've decided to hold off. I bought a village in Vermont instead. It's excessively quaint. I may spend a few weeks there this fall.

Yeah.... I made microwave popcorn and switched between hockey and baseball all evening. Probably better than shooting up and fighting for the Glory of Our Lord, when you get right down to it. And almost all of the teams I was hoping would lose did. Great day, really. I don't regret passing up that opportunity to watch other people get their hair cut at all.
