I've signed up with the new host. I'm trying to get everything transferred over there. It all feels like one huge mess. (And eventually, unless the problem goes away once everything is transferred, I will have to figure out why it seems cool with the CHMODing but does not save the new settings.)

So, yeah. Down time still seems like a possibility.

Tasty-pirate.org will be switching hosts in the next couple of days. Dreamhost has been good to me - it's almost always up, the tech support was beautifully fast the couple of times I used it, and I had only a few email problems when they switched me over to the new system - but it doesn't offer some features I need, and the plan that does offer those features is a little on the insanely expensive side. (Basically, I need to get my custom cgi on, so I can run greymatter or movable type. Blogger is just a little too high traffic these days, I'm thinking, though I did get a comments system going on my own server a while back. Exciting stuff. I will be deleting that shortly.)

I'm looking into some plans at aplushosting.com, which could end up costing exactly what I'm paying now with equal up time and customer service, plus more space and features. Being a little afraid of switching hosts is not a good reason to pass it up. Worst case scenario, a site I'm barely updating lately will be down for a short amount of time. The horror.

So, the point is, there might be some down time when I switch, or some email issues. I don't know. If this site is down, or I run into any problems, I'll still be posting on the crappy livejournal. Check me out there.

And yes, my novel is as poorly written as this post. But with more vampires.

Some goals:

1. Work on the craptacular novel.
2. Buy slippers with fewer holes on the bottoms.
3. Eat less peanut butter.

Grueling, grueling tasks. I hope I'm up to it.

My novel likely would be finished faster if I ever started writing with a clue as to where I was going. Also, my character motivation seems to be slipping further and further.

On the plus side, I am technically ahead of where I need to be to finish. Go me.

Awww. freespeech.org/skippy is really, officially, gone now. Bye, old chum.

I was unspeakably happy that the Diamondbacks won the World Series, but it's a little hard for me to process that the Yankees finally lost. I might send a few of the Diamondbacks some "thank you" notes.

NaNoWriMo has me typing shit like this:

Lauren went off to the bathroom to brush her teeth and fix her hair whilst Chris made some hot, buttery toast.

It's hilarious because I'm tired. Hot, buttery toast, indeed.

I will deeply love the Diamondbacks from now until they lose tomorrow.

With Day Three of NaNoWriMo nearing it's end, I am still comfortably on pace to finish my novel by the end of the month. Yay me.

My stupid, inaccurate english to spanish translator seems to have gotten much discussion in email (and on a couple of blogs) in the past few days. Nifty.

Thus far, my novel isn't just bad. It's so bad that I almost can't comprehend how bad it is. I rock.

The internet is much more fun when it works.

Why yes, I have been working on my awful novel.
