"mmm, tasty pirate!"

July 31, 2000

It's always fun when the Cardinals actually win. Yay for Kile's complete game shut-out!
[9:39:19 PM | §]

I've been revisiting my old xoom page. I'm glad I did - I never fully took that site down, and I found all sorts of mad schmifty files and images that I thought were lost forever. I'm thinking about resurrecting some of them.
[8:23:29 AM | §]

I just spent about twenty minutes updating my old geocities page. I'm such a dork.
[6:34:28 AM | §]

I think I've found a layout I don't hate. It's lame, but in the fun sort of way (I hope). It looks a lot like the last layout I had at freespeech.org.

I'm having trouble sleeping because there was a spider on my bed earlier, and I failed to kill it. Good for my conscience, bad for my anxiety. This should halt my lovely hypersomnia swing - I'll probably be obsessively checking for the (most likely) long-gone spider for days.
[6:15:48 AM | §]

July 29, 2000

I'm still working on a layout that I don't hate, and Michael drew a kick-ass tasty pirate ship, which I will eventually post.
[9:37:02 PM | §]

July 28, 2000

I'm struggling to come up with a new color scheme that is neither sucky nor blinding, and that isn't too dark. It's harder than it should be. One reason for that is that I'm way too into orange these days.
[10:33:13 PM | §]

July 27, 2000

The Cardinals are playing craptacularly tonight.
[10:31:15 PM | §]

"Bill" sends the best spam email, and someone found my site searching "hunks & studs". Makes sense.
[5:10:54 AM | §]

July 26, 2000

I think I'm going to build some robots and have them do my bidding.
[9:32:29 PM | §]

I've been extremely busy with my hypersomnia the past few days. It's better than insomnia, at least.

Jumble Plus is, once again, down.
[4:36:14 AM | §]

"Losing your hat is like losing your best friend."
[2:19:20 AM | §]

July 25, 2000

They finally got Jumble Plus working! Yay!
[4:01:30 AM | §]

July 24, 2000

I can't believe I'm up this early, and with no particular reason.
[2:48:22 PM | §]

Short, odd entry.
[3:46:51 AM | §]

Why do I get the feeling that the Cardinals aren't going to stay in first place much longer?
[12:15:39 AM | §]

I think the GTriad chats are gone forever now. No one actually uses them anymore, so it's all good.

Anyone else remember the days when you could go to the main Gtriad site and see when each room was last posted in, who was in the room, etc.?
[12:00:15 AM | §]

July 23, 2000

Added a little note here, for this person's benefit.
[8:54:35 PM | §]

Important items:

a.) I dreamed that Fabio and Barry Bonds were doing a concert together. It was different.

2.) Mandy is now at reprehensible.org. Yay for her.

7.) I have just eaten peach pie.
[8:39:18 PM | §]

I have added an entry.
[1:32:24 AM | §]

July 22, 2000

"Best festival ever!"

More on that when it's less 4:30 AM and I'm less tired.
[4:30:36 AM | §]

July 21, 2000

We saw Beavis, driving in his car!
[6:40:55 PM | §]

I want to redesign, but I'm totally uninspired. I think I've said this before. Blech.
[4:17:42 AM | §]

I'm glad the Cardinals are playing the Astros tomorrow. Maybe they'll actually win.
[12:01:29 AM | §]

July 20, 2000

I slept for 15 hours today, but it's all good.
[11:48:54 PM | §]

July 19, 2000

I would go to bed now, if I thought there was any chance at all I would actually get to sleep.

The Cardinals are going to lose now. I wish they'd stop that.
[11:30:09 PM | §]

Looks like all is sucky in the world of baseball tonight, thus far.
[9:10:57 PM | §]

Happy birthday, Mom and (I think) Rick Ankiel!
[5:50:43 PM | §]

July 18, 2000

Michael won a Snapple baseball cap in the "Twisted Cap Tricks" game. Yay.
[10:03:06 PM | §]

My wrist hurts, a lot. I think I twisted it in my sleep.

The Cardinals are intent upon losing this game. I just don't get it.
[9:08:23 PM | §]

I have added a wee entry.
[1:34:21 AM | §]

July 17, 2000

Chris Richard decided he should get a homerun in his first major league at bat. Good for him.

4 Cardinals have done that, ever. 2 have done it this month. Crazy.
[9:18:29 PM | §]

Entry, with bonus whining.
[12:28:51 AM | §]

July 16, 2000

I think blogger messed up my index page. Curse you, blogger!

Michael wants a Spiderman tie. Also, he "went public" on the stock exchange (like Martha Stewart!). He currently owns 100% of himself. People are too confused about the product to invest in him, I would guess.

The Cards lost to the Twins today. Because after you win 2 of 3 against the White Sox, you have to go lose to the Twins! The Reds lost, too, though, so it's relatively all good.
[5:35:33 PM | §]

More updates to small bits of code (that no one cares about). I'm so bored that it doesn't even approach being funny, so possible real updates to come. My grammar's pretty off, though, so maybe not.
[5:11:50 PM | §]

July 15, 2000

Watching this Cardinals/White Sox game, I'm pretty glad I didn't go. This is just painful to watch - long and drawn out, batters getting hit right and left. It was probably hot today, too.
[9:23:26 PM | §]

July 14, 2000

Sometimes, I accidently sleep an extra 3 hours. Today, for instance.
[11:43:39 PM | §]

I call far too many people "Jim".
[1:51:42 AM | §]

July 13, 2000

Cardinals @ White Sox - If only both teams could win.

Michael doesn't know whether to be offended by this piece of mail, or just amused.
[9:16:36 PM | §]

Fixed bad code. Wow!
[2:54:07 AM | §]

July 12, 2000

Post All Star Game, I spent the night answering mail, and am now officially caught up with everything in my in-boxes. I also cleaned out my email accounts somewhat. Yay. This won't last long, so I'm going to enjoy it while I can. There are a few people I want to ask about various things or catch up with, but that can wait till tomorrow (when, I hope, my eyes will be less strained).
[2:25:02 AM | §]

July 11, 2000

I'm a still a little... absent. This time, it's just because of the excessive lightning. (It just keeps storming and storming - possible drought, my ass!)

All Star Game tonight! In his first good decision ever, Bobby Cox is starting Jim Edmonds. Yay, injuries! How fun was that segment showing how all the All Stars who are out got hurt during the Plays of the Week?

I'm glad someone other than Griffey won the HomeRun Derby, even if it was Sosa. It's about time.

I'm too tired to sound like I know what I'm talking about. I'll just be happy if none of my players make asses of themselves.
[6:09:09 PM | §]

July 9, 2000

Updates to the spell-checked 3NT cast list, and a small entry. Other stuff also updated, but not in ways you would likely notice.
[8:08:22 PM | §]

I'm still alive! Just not on-line much the past couple of days.
[7:04:25 PM | §]

July 7, 2000

I wish that the dog would just die. Or, at the very least, shut up.
[10:23:07 PM | §]

If I ever get out of the house, I will mail things and buy mouthwash. Bleh.
[7:23:00 PM | §]

July 6, 2000

I think Jim Edmonds gave me the flu. It better not keep me out of the All-Star Game.
[11:32:41 PM | §]

The Cardinals' average with Eric in the stadium just goes down and down.
[10:46:22 PM | §]

The Cards have two strikes against them tonight:

1.) They tend not to win games when they're featured as a game of the week. (That is horribly worded.)
2.) Eric is there.

It'll be a tough win, statistically speaking.
[7:17:16 PM | §]

July 5, 2000

"That doesn't sound like normal crack!"

The White Sox announcers amuse me more than they mean to.
[8:50:47 PM | §]

July 4, 2000

Stupid storms. They never, never end...

I have yet to figure out why the second living room VCR refuses to function properly. (We've had two VCRs in our living room ever since the basement became uninhabitable.)

I really, really want to redesign this site, but I can't come up with a decent layout. Also, I'm lazy.

Real updates coming, once I stop having to shut down every 15 minutes for lightning. I have no idea why I bother starting the computer.
[9:02:50 PM | §]

July 3, 2000

Michelle & Brad's page was added to losers.org today, along with tasty-pirate.org. That's pretty fun. They put me under "journalists" rather than "wannabes", which I did not expect.
[11:26:17 PM | §]

I'm already extremely sick of fireworks. Bleh.
[9:31:07 PM | §]

My room is ridiculously hot.
[4:19:01 PM | §]

July 2, 2000

Home, finally. My right arm hurts too much to type anymore.
[9:21:51 PM | §]

July 1, 2000

I may or may not be going to that wedding later. My head is in some serious pain. I'm pretty sure I've been running a fever, too.
